Israel suffers escalating hack attacks

London, UK - 15th April 2002, 1630 GMT - The Israeli domain “.il”
has been the biggest victim of web defacements (548) in the Middle East (1,295)
by a wide margin over the period July 1999 to mid-April 2002 inclusive. This
includes the start of the second Intifada, the Palestinian uprising, in September
2000.
