Air Marshal Sir Timothy Garden appointed

  London, UK - 27 April 2003, 00:01GMT - mi2g is delighted to 
    announce the appointment of Air Marshal Sir Timothy Garden as Senior Consultant.
   Sir Timothy will be advising mi2g clients at chairman and chief executive 
    level within financial services and government agencies on strategic defence 
    and asymmetric warfare issues including the simulation and rehearsal of chemical, 
    biological, radiological, nuclear, digital and suicide (CBRN-DS) type 
    of incidents that impact on personnel, critical operations as well as infrastructure.
   Sir Timothy, a former assistant chief of the defence staff, has published 
    extensively on security topics, including a book on nuclear strategy and another 
    on military technology. He is visiting professor at the Centre for Defence 
    Studies at King's College London, and was previously Director of the Royal 
    Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House. He was appointed a Commissioner 
    to the Commission on Globalisation last year. He is an honorary fellow of 
    St. Catherine's College, Oxford, a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society, 
    a Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute for Defence Studies, and a 
    Fellow of the City and Guilds of London Institute. He was awarded a CB in 
    1992 and his KCB two years later.
