Burma in Biggest Uprising in 20 Years: The China Black

Myanmar, as Burma is now called, is in the midst of political unrest which
could have deep ramifications for China. China's ties with the military junta
ruling Burma go deep, and include expanding trade links, the sale of military
hardware and diplomatic support. However, Beijing does not want to be associated
with any crackdown and Chinese politicians are anxious to help stabilise the
political situation in Burma without the use of violence.
