London, UK - 19 November 2003, 10:00 GMT - Tuesday 18th November 2003 will go down as not just an important day in the history of the business-to-consumer (b2c) computer security industry but also the computer software industry as a whole. Computer Associates (CA) announced that they have teamed up with Microsoft to offer antivirus and firewall software free to consumers - primarily home users - for a year. This has implications for the corporate and government sector as well.
