London, UK - 18 December 2003, 11:30 GMT - On the same day as the
US President and 34,000 onlookers celebrated a hundred years of powered flight
and the achievements of the Wright brothers at Kitty Hawk, thirteen NASA sites
were attacked by the Brazilian hacking group DRWXR. Those NASA.GOV systems
continue to remain inaccessible today. Brazil reserves the honour of airplane
pioneer for countryman Alberto Santos Dumont, who flew a bamboo-and-silk biplane
in Paris, before a crowd of witnesses, on 12th November 1906. He was also
hailed across Europe as the inventor of the airplane.
