New Appointment - Strategic Technology Advisor

London, UK - 8th January 2001, 0915 GMT - It is with great pleasure that mi2g software announces the appointment of Dr Simon Moores as its Strategic Technology Advisor. As an original Futurist thinker, Dr Moores is well known for his role as technology pundit for both television and radio and as the Chairperson of a number of leading IT User Groups and Fora, which include: The eGovernment Forum, The ASP Community and The Microsoft Forums.

"Post securing substantial contracts with financial institutions globally, we are delighted that Simon has now become part of the team developing our strategy for next generation software integration and the delivery of secure line-of-business applications over the Internet", said D K Matai, Managing Director, mi2g software.

Dr Moores appears regularly on BBC news, Sky Television's Business Report, Jazz FM radio and frequently as an analyst and eCommerce expert on CNBC and Bloomberg. He has spoken at a number of prestigious international conferences, delivering presentations on Information Society issues.

He was awarded a PhD in Computing and Information Systems with a thesis on collaborative computing in 1983 before entering the IT industry working for Personal Computers in the City of London where he developed training programmes for banks and other financial institutions.
